Dubuque, Iowa's first city, is well called the Masterpiece on the Mississippi. A unique combination of urban amenities and scenic beauty grace this city we call home. In 2019, it was selected to receive one of ten All-America City awards, its fifth time to do so. A humming economy, an efficient government, a vibrant downtown, widespread community engagement, three colleges, two universities, and the largest river in the United States are all found in this city of 60,000 souls. Nearly two million tourists a year enjoy Dubuque.

In 1971, a young preacher fresh out of Bible college brought his family from Texas to found the first independent Baptist church in Dubuque. Nearly five decades and two pastors later that church has matured in doctrine, in practice, in ministry, and in size. Fervent in spirit, happily serving, outreach oriented, knowledgeable in Scripture, and committed to a traditional approach, the Bible Baptist Church of Dubuque warmly welcomes you.
